The British Medical Journal has recently reported adverse reactions attributed to Gardasil, the newly marketed vaccine for HPV infections. Since 2006, 1,637 adverse events have been reported, including three deaths--seemingly among women who have heart or blood clotting problems.
Majority of the side effects were benign such as headaches, nausea and dizziness. However, 371 of the adverse effects were quite serious including paralysis, Bell's palsy, and Guillain-Barre syndrome. A high percent of pregnant women have also been reported to be adversely affected by the vaccinations.
