The "Dirty Dozen"

The Environmental Working Group has developed a list of fruits and vegetables that have been found to have the highest amount of pesticides. This list is based on 43,000 published tests done by the US Department of Agriculture between 2000-2004.

These are the fruits and vegetables to avoid buying if conventionally grown. Instead, try to buy them organic, as it will be money well-spent:
Peaches, Apples, Sweet Bell Peppers, Celery, Nectarines, Strawberries, Cherries, Lettuce, Grapes (imported), Pears, Spinach, Potatoes. Get the complete list here.
